Some people are artists with video and story. Others are into marketing. I do both.
I enjoy marketing strategy. Many clients want a brand video, a new website, or some fancy social media channels. It's my job to come along and ask, "Why?" If you're not thinking about who your best customer is and where they spend time and how to reach them - chances are you are wasting money.
My goal is to drive your business forward -- generate leads, create awareness, or reach viewers--whatever metric, format, size, length helps achieve your goal.
Marketing consulting takes many forms. Typically it involves a few meetings in which I help you clarify your business goals and find the right target. I can also help you find and choose an ad agency to execute the marketing strategy. I serve as a communicator between you and them so you get the most out of your marketing budget.
Public relations planning is the ability to brainstorm, write, and execute a plan to get your business or story attention across magazines, blogs, trade journals, social media - whatever platform makes sense. It means reaching out to magazine editors and pitching your story and getting media attention according to the overall strategy.
For video, most clients need video content for their YouTube Channel, Website, and for Social Media Advertising. I can script, film, and edit these. But I also have the marketing strategy background to make sure your video is achieving your business goals.
I know quite a few videographers who want to express themselves artistically or win awards at a film festival. I empathize with that instinct, but it's not just about art. A low budget, low production quality video might just get you more engagement online. And a high production quality video doesn't necessarily make you more money.
For video, typical video assets include:
30 to 90 second brand videos
1-2 minute customer testimonials
4-5 minute long form stories or case studies
I aim for an "Evergreen" approach. I want you to walk away with a set of videos you can use for 3-5 years, maybe longer.
